So you hear us talk about our Archive Store and Buy Back Program quite a bit, but what does it all mean? We jumped at the opportunity to break it all down this past Earth Day:
Born out of Meg’s desire to spare her creations a landfill fate, she thought, “let me reclaim my designs that are about to hit the curb and prolong their lives by finding them new homes in women in need, and reselling them at affordable prices and donating the proceeds.” Call out she did, and as always, you all came flocking with your clothes, your stories, and support. The idea was so successful that after a 2 year test run, it warranted its own brick & mortar storefront, and it seemed only fitting to house the thrift store-style curation in our longest standing flagship space at 312 E 9th St in the East Village.
From ‘90s party dresses to the pants you missed out on last season, samples and factory seconds, from gently worn to brand new items with tags still on you never know what you’ll score for a mere $20-$100 at our budget friendly, one-off haven. Good for your wallet, the planet, AND the community: 20% of the proceeds go directly to PPNYC.
Enter Taylor, an FIT graduate with a fashion background and a passion for sustainability and reducing waste: the ultimate answer to our Archive Resale Store manager prayers. She holds down the fort most days 11-6 (We're currently open at the Archive Tuesday-Sunday), and she’s your go-to resource for all things Archive (keeping an eye out for you on that sold out top that shrunk in the wash and you’d kill to replace, fitting you for in-house tailoring of Archive bought pieces for a fee to name a few).
